We match you to clients in your area. Mileage supplement of $0.70/mile for any visit over 10 miles from home.

Everything runs through Time to Pet — bookings, client profiles, GPS check-in/out, visit reports, and client communication. One app, everything in one place.

We help you get the right insurance and bonding. Option to be added to our existing policy — the most popular and most affordable choice among our ICs.

We are available 24/7. Any issues with schedules, pets, or clients — we are your first call. You are never dealing with problems alone.
Regular payments
Payments processed monthly — invoices finalised end of month, paid start of the following month. Optional mid-month payment also available.

Visit fees & time slots.
You receive 100% of all visit fees, 100% of tips, and 100% of any holiday fee increases — nothing is held back. Pay increases the longer you’re with us and based on the value you bring to the team.

Minimum dog visits: 45min AM + 45min PM (add 30min midday if no doggy door). Cats: 30min any time. Out-of-hours visits carry a $6 client surcharge ($4 to you); holiday visits carry a $9 client surcharge (100% to you).
All visits must start and end within the agreed time slot. Specific times apply for regular daily clients.

A short video call with Liza or Tony. Both sides ask questions and decide together if it’s the right fit.
Onboard and start
E-docs — IC agreement, info sheet, background check authority, and W9. Then Time to Pet setup and your first Meet & Greet.

Please read the fees and information above before applying. If the fee levels don’t work for you financially, please do not apply — we want this to be a good fit for both sides. We ask that all candidates have some paid or volunteer experience working with animals — this is a requirement, not just a preference. We respond to suitable candidates within 7 days.
As a guide: $14.00 for 30mins | $15.00 for 45mins | $18.00 for 60mins. These fees increase the longer you stay with us. If these levels do not suit you initially, please do not apply.
- Weekday and Weekend Visits: How many mornings, afternoons, and evenings for 30/45/60-minute visits?
- Overnight Stays: How often are you available for sleepovers (7pm to 7am)?
- Live-In Care: How often could you commit to extended live-in assignments?
- Holiday Availability: Are you available on holidays, and if so, which ones?
Please read and confirm you understand the following:
- This is an Independent Contractor opportunity. You are not and will not be an employee of Scritches in any way. You set your own availability and are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, and business expenses.
- Successful contractors will need to obtain pet sitting insurance and bonding. Options and costs will be discussed if you are selected. A thorough background check is required — you pay upfront (~$20) and this is refunded if you pass and remain with us for 3 months.
- Payments are processed monthly — invoices finalised last day of month, paid at start of following month. Optional mid-month payment available.
- We only visit pets in their home. We do not offer boarding in sitter homes or any other facility.
- We receive many applications and prioritise those whose experience aligns most closely. We aim to respond within 7 days.
